About This Tour

Start your day with a friendly pickup from your hotel, apartment, or port in Hvar Town. Your journey begins with a short panoramic drive to Napoleon's Fortress, perched 250 meters above sea level. From this exceptional viewpoint, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over Hvar Town, the Pakleni Islands, and the sparkling Adriatic — an inspiring introduction to the island's natural beauty.

Continue to the hilltop village of Brusje, where you visit a family-run estate and learn traditional methods of producing honey, olive oil, and lavender. Enjoy tastings of these authentic local products while discovering how generations of island families have preserved these traditions despite the island's rocky terrain and challenging climate.

The route then follows the historic Napoleon Road, passing terraced lavender fields and dry stone walls. Continue to Velo Grablje, a 14th-century village once celebrated as a center for wine, olive oil, honey, and lavender oil production. The tour then leads to the abandoned village of Malo Grablje, left behind in the 1960s. Explore roofless stone houses, a historic olive mill, and peaceful courtyards while learning the story of daily life here.

Your journey concludes in Stari Grad, one of Croatia's oldest towns. Take a guided stroll through its historic streets and serene squares, and visit Tvrdalj Castle, the Renaissance retreat of poet Petar Hektorović. After the guided tour, enjoy free time to wander, sip coffee by the sea, or savor a traditional Dalmatian meal at a family-run konoba.
